We will be open Monday to Friday 12-3 and 6-closing. On Tuesday the kitchen is closed all day & bar only will open at 6pm. Food served 12-2 Mon-SAT, 12-3 Sun & every evening 6-9. Weekend open all day for drinks. PLEASE NOTE DURING DECEMBER 2024 THE KITCHEN WILL BE OPEN FOR LUNCH & DINNER ON TUESDAYS.
We will continue to serve the takeaway menu Wednesday & Thursday 6-9pm. Please see menu listing on website for details of food served. (Please note there will be no takeaway available on monthly quiz nights.)
2024 Events:
Quiz nights – every 3rd Wednesday in the month at 8pm. £3 per team member to play & max 6 persons per team. £20 cash prize to winning team. All monies raised on the night will go to a charity chosen by the winning team. It is essential to book a table for the quiz & food will be served. Next quiz night is 20th November at 8pm.
Bingo night Thursday 28th November – in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society. Eyes down 8pm, great prizes up for grabs!
Christmas lights Sunday 1st December at 6pm – will be switched on outside the pub. Mulled wine & mince pies being served.
Festive set menu – will run from Monday 2nd December to Christmas Eve. Menu shown on website in menu section on website.
Christmas Raffle: will run from Sunday 1st December through to Boxing Day evening when tickets will be drawn after the quiz. Great Hampden’s own secret Santa has again very kindly donated a luxury food hamper full of lots of lovely goodies to be won. Tickets £2 each & all monies raised will go towards the Spinal Unit at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in it’s 80th anniversary year.
Festive sing-a-long with Birdy Friday 6th December – a night guaranteed to get you in the Christmas mood!
Carol singing Monday 16th December 7.30pm: with our dear friends from St Mary Magdalene Church. A firm favourite with so many – come along & join in with many traditional carols.
Boxing Day Quiz – escape the Christmas telly & join in with this much loved village event. Kick off 8pm, £3 per team member to play. All monies raised on the night will go to the MPS Society – a charity so dear to my heart.
Burns Night: Thursday 23 January 2025 a supper to celebrate all that is Robbie Burns. Look out for posters & further details early Jan.
